Homemade Dandelion Root Tea Latte

It has become a ritual in my daily routine to make myself a homemade dandelion root tea latte in the afternoon. Like honestly, I don’t know if I have missed a day since Levon was born. It became something that made me pause in my day, something I could look forward to and ensure I was nourishing myself.

This drink feels like restoration.

It is a nutrient dense beverage that I keep coming back for more specifically in these cold winter months. Feel free to be like me and shamelessly make this beverage all year long or turn it into an iced version.

I love the simple act of making up this drink for myself. Simultaneously, my littles request their “milk drinks” (warmed milk, cinnamon, and maple syrup). Then I can relax for a few moments or plug away at some work with a sips of comfort to help me through it all. Basically, it just makes everything so much nicer and helps with the afternoon transition in the day. When it is all gone,  it is time to reset for dinner prep and the next phase of our day and I am ready for it

Keep in mind there are so many variations to this drink so feel free to add in or remove any ingredient you like to make it yours. Dandelion Root Tea has a full bodied taste very similar to coffee which is quite nice on its own if you decide to nix the caffeine and espresso option. Any way you choose to make this drink I hope it becomes habitual like it has done for me. I hope it gives you a moment to look forward to in your day and enjoy.
