Our whipped pastured balm was inspired by the more common skincare product "Tallow Whip" referring to a rendered beef fat moisturizer, while our product is made from pasture-raised & organically fed rendered pork fat from our farm.
It is extremely nourishing and great for skin sensitivities. Rendered lard adds the highest quality natural fats and minerals to deeply moisturize, soothe, and repair damaged skin. Our deep moisturizer was mindfully curated using only a handful of ingredients that are nutrient-dense. Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Unrefined Shea Butter, and Organic Jojoba Oil pair with our pastured heritage lard to make an ultra-calming, antioxidant-rich moisturizing balm.
Our ancient ancestors understood the value of animal fats for their skin. We are glad to see this traditional trend coming back to provide us with healthy, youthful-looking skin.
Our pigs are pasture-raised sustainably, where they can wild-forage and receive vitamins and minerals from the earth. They are also fed organic grain and herbal supplements.
Apply sparingly. Many love it for their face, but it can be a little heavy for some. We always recommend starting slow, using it a few times the first week, and building from there to see how your skin responds. Use on hands, feet, elbows, rough spots, and as a full body moisturizer. Safe for babies.
Moisturizer is solid at room temperature and melts upon skin contact. Store in a cool, dry location for maximum longevity. During the warmer months, it is possible for the product to melt and change consistency. It is best to be kept in the refrigerator in warmer climates. Note color, scent, and look of product may slightly vary from batch to batch.
This skincare balm soothes and calms with blue tansy (you may notice a subtle blue hue to your balm), which reduces redness and irritation. Frankincense helps to tone and rejuvenate skin while promoting cell regeneration and soothing irritated skin. Lavender provides antioxidant protection, supports skin elasticity, and adds a relaxing, calming scent.

LARD BENEFITS IN SKINCARE
•Similar to Human Skin: Lard from pigs, particularly pasture-raised heritage breeds like our American Guinea Hogs, has a fatty acid composition and pH level very similar to human skin's natural oils. This allows it to be readily absorbed without clogging pores.
•Rich in Vitamins: Pasture-raised hogs that are exposed to sunlight store significant amounts of Vitamin D in their fat. Lard is also a good source of vitamins A and E, and omega-3 fatty acids, which are all beneficial for skin health.
•Moisturizing, Hydrating, and Restoring: Lard offers wonderful natural moisturizing properties, helping the skin lock in moisture and strengthening the skin's protective barrier. Soothing and calming properties that can assist with problem skin.
